Grendelcomment: The obvious solution to student loan
problems will continue to be tapdanced around by the grifter
class. It really is quite simple. Make schools
cosign student loans. Duh. This way, if a
graduate fails to find a purpose for their degree, the
college gets to cover the shortfall. Limp careers are
so often a result of a failure of these institution to churn
our graduates possessing needed skills. Why shouldn't
they bear that burden. Having some skin in the game
could really add some much needed emphasis toward teaching
things that are useful in the real world. This should
also provide much needed incentive for centers of learning
to bump up their sorting hat capabilities in order to choose
students who really are the most qualified to make the
gamble on.
Grendelcomment: K, but they do make their new residences
more crappy. These people mostly have no actual
skills. Yes, they buy the ranch and probably give up a
lot of their idiotic political opinions that led to why they
had to flee. This is admittedly a good first step.
But also, odds are that they'll wreck that ranch within just
a few years. Or they'll do things that mess up
neighbors who do know how to be makers rather than takers.
Things like screwing around with water rights and scamming
tax incentives meant for producers. Or going around to
farms that need migrant workers and teaching the migrant
workers how to sue for pay lost when the farms have to send
the workers away after they get a positive bogus coof test.
So yeah, ok maybe on the political front it won't be as much
of a problem as many have suggested. But sorry, expats,
folks in already red areas of states . . . they really don't
want or need an influx of soyboys or their matriarchy
masters, so it may not be much of a welcome home party.
Grendelcomment: Mag limits suffer from the same logic
failure that led to softdrink size limits in NYC.
Which led to people getting 2 cups instead, or
remanufacturing cups just a little shy of the magic limit.
Cup size edicts did nothing whatsosever to decrease fatties,
or solve racism or climate change . . . Mag limits
would solve what? Say, show me the city where mag
limits cut crime. In fact, go ahead and bring along
all the peer reviewed literature and studies showing the
causation demonstrated correlations so we can pick out that
perfect, correct mag size limit. Then let's talk.
